Reports Overview
The Reports area gives makerspace administrators insight into class registrations, revenue, membership growth, and gift card performance. Reports are read-only views of data you already own — they never modify anything.
Where to Find It
Section titled “Where to Find It”Sign in as an admin and navigate to Admin → Reports. The Reports hub lists every report available to you. Reports you don’t have permission to view are hidden.
Available Reports
Section titled “Available Reports”Class Registrations
Section titled “Class Registrations”A per-registration detail report for every class session in a date range.
Each row shows:
- Member name
- Class / series
- Session date
- Registration type — Paid or Comp
- Amount paid
- Comped by (the staff member who issued the comp, if applicable)
- Comp reason (if provided)
Filters available:
- Date range (required)
- Class / series (optional — leave blank for all)
- Registration type — All, Paid only, or Comp only
Class Sales
Section titled “Class Sales”Per-class aggregates for a date range.
Each row shows:
- Class
- Sessions in period
- Total registrations
- Paid registrations
- Comped registrations
- Gross revenue
Filters available:
- Date range (required)
- Sort column and direction (revenue, total registrations, paid, comped, sessions)
Membership Signups
Section titled “Membership Signups”Per-tier aggregates of new memberships started in a date range, broken out by billing cycle (monthly / annual) with an optional toggle to include admin grants. Defaults to self-service signups only.

Gift Card Performance
Section titled “Gift Card Performance”Per-denomination and split analysis of gift card sales for a date range.
Each report shows:
- Gift cards issued (count and total value)
- Redeemed value and redemption rate (redeemed ÷ issued)
- Preset vs. custom split — how many buyers chose a preset denomination vs. a custom amount
- Breakdown by denomination — which preset amounts sell most
Filters available:
- Date range (required) — scopes by the date the card was issued

Exporting to CSV
Section titled “Exporting to CSV”Each report has an Export CSV button. CSVs use the same filters as the on-screen view and include every row that matches — not just the page you’re viewing.
The exported file is named like class-registrations-2026-04-01-2026-04-30.csv,
which makes it easy to drop multiple exports into a folder without overwriting.
CSV exports require the Run Reports permission. Viewing the on-screen report only requires View Reports, so view-only auditors can use the reports without being able to download.
Permissions

A user can hold one without the other. The two permissions are managed in Admin → Roles & Designations like any other permission. See the Permissions Overview for assignment details.
The Membership Signups report is the exception: it gates on the Manage Memberships permission rather than View / Run Reports, because it sits on the membership-management surface. See Membership Signups Report → Permissions.
Comp Registrations in Reports
Section titled “Comp Registrations in Reports”Comp registrations — class registrations issued by staff without payment — appear in both reports. The Class Registrations report flags each row as Paid or Comp so you can audit who issued comps and why. The Class Sales report breaks the totals out into Paid Registrations vs Comped Registrations columns so comps don’t inflate revenue.

Data Scope
Section titled “Data Scope”Every report is scoped to your makerspace automatically — you can never see another makerspace’s data, even if you have a Platform Admin role for that tenant. The scoping happens on the server, not in the UI.
Empty States
Section titled “Empty States”If a filter combination returns zero rows, the report shows an empty state with the filters you applied so you can adjust and retry. Date ranges that span a future window or land before your makerspace existed are the most common cause.
