- Click Confirm Registration
- See the success message
You’ll receive a confirmation email with event details.
Paid Events
Section titled “Paid Events”- Click Proceed to Payment
- If your makerspace has cover fees enabled, you’ll see a checkbox to cover the processing fees. Checking it adds a small amount so 100% of your payment goes to the makerspace. The added amount is shown next to the checkbox.
- If you have a gift card, enter your
XXXX-XXXX-XXXXcode in the gift card field on the checkout summary. The balance is applied to your total — if it covers the full price, no further payment is needed and you confirm the amount taken from the card before you are registered; otherwise you’ll pay the remainder through your makerspace’s payment provider. - Click Proceed to Checkout — you’ll be redirected to the secure checkout page of your makerspace’s payment provider if a balance remains. The checkout page opens in the language you use in MakerVera when your makerspace’s payment provider supports it; otherwise in English. When a gift card covers part of the price, a secure payment pop-up opens for the remainder instead, in the language you’ve chosen in MakerVera
- Enter your payment information and complete the purchase
- After payment, you come back to MakerVera, which checks the result of your payment with the makerspace before showing it. Once it’s confirmed, you’ll see a “You’re registered!” message
You register with and pay the makerspace, which is the seller and merchant of record; your payment goes to the makerspace’s own payment-provider account.
You’re never charged twice for one registration. If you press Proceed to Checkout again, go back from the payment page or open it in a second tab, you get the payment page you already had open. If you changed something first, such as the cover-fees choice, the earlier payment page is closed and can no longer be paid. If your earlier payment already went through, you’re taken to its confirmation. If two payments still both go through, the second is refunded automatically and you get an email.
A confirmation email will be sent to you shortly after payment. You can click View My Classes to see your upcoming events, or Browse More Events to keep exploring.
The page you come back to shows only what MakerVera has confirmed:
- “You’re registered!”: your payment went through and your spot is confirmed.
- “Your payment is processing”: your payment is still being confirmed. A bank payment can take a few days to clear; we’ll email you when it completes and your spot is confirmed.
- “We couldn’t complete your registration”: your payment went through, but the registration couldn’t be completed (for example, the event filled up). Your payment is refunded automatically; it can take a few days to appear on your statement.
- “Your payment didn’t go through”: you haven’t been charged and you’re not registered yet. Click Back to Event to try again or use another payment method.
- “This checkout has expired”: you weren’t charged and you’re not registered yet. Click Back to Event to try again.
- “We couldn’t confirm your registration yet”: MakerVera couldn’t check your payment just now. If it went through, you’ll get a confirmation email and the class appears in My Classes. Check your email before you pay again.
If the payment pop-up can’t show its form, it tells you why and keeps Pay now off so nothing is charged. See Gift Cards for what each message means.
If you change your mind during checkout, click the back button on the payment provider’s checkout page. You won’t be charged, and you’ll see a “No worries — your spot is still available” message with a Try Again button to return to the registration page.
