Events vs Classes
Section titled “Events vs Classes”The system supports two types of offerings:
| Type | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Event | General workshops or activities | ”Open Shop Night”, “Member Mixer” |
| Class | Structured learning with an instructor | ”Intro to Woodworking”, “CNC Basics” |
Classes require an assigned instructor. Events do not.
Single Events vs Multi-Session Courses
Section titled “Single Events vs Multi-Session Courses”You can create two formats:
Single-Session Events
Section titled “Single-Session Events”One-time workshops or activities with a specific date and time.
Example: “Laser Cutter Safety Workshop” on Saturday, March 15th from 2-4pm
Multi-Session Courses
Section titled “Multi-Session Courses”A series of sessions that participants attend together as a group (called a “cohort”).
Example: “Intro to Woodworking” - a 4-week course meeting every Tuesday in April
When members register for a multi-session course, they enroll in all sessions at once.
