Reset Your Password

If you can’t remember your password, you can reset it directly from the login page — no need to contact an admin.

  1. Go to your makerspace login page
  2. Click Forgot password? below the password field
  3. Enter the email address associated with your account
  4. Click Send Reset Code

You’ll receive an email with a 6-digit verification code. This typically arrives within a few seconds.

After submitting your email, you’ll be taken to the reset password page:

  1. Enter the 6-digit verification code from the email
  2. Choose a new password (see requirements below)
  3. Confirm the new password
  4. Click Reset Password

After a successful reset, you’ll be redirected to the login page with a confirmation message. Sign in with your new password.

Your new password must meet all of the following:

  • At least 8 characters long
  • Contains at least one uppercase letter
  • Contains at least one lowercase letter
  • Contains at least one number

The email arrives from MakerVera with the subject “Reset your MakerVera password”. It contains a prominently displayed 6-digit code. If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder.

The code expires after 1 hour. If it expires, you can request a new one by clicking Didn’t receive a code? Resend on the reset password page.

I didn’t receive the verification code email

  • Check your spam or junk folder
  • Make sure you entered the correct email address
  • Wait a minute — delivery can occasionally be delayed
  • Try clicking Resend on the reset password page
  • Make sure you’re entering the most recent code (if you requested multiple)
  • Check that you haven’t accidentally included extra spaces
  • Codes expire after 1 hour — request a new one if needed

I’m getting a “too many attempts” error

For security, password reset requests are limited. If you see this message, wait an hour before trying again.

Can I reset my password from the mobile app?

The reset flow works in any browser. Navigate to your makerspace login page and follow the same steps.

I reset my password but still can’t log in

  • Make sure you’re using the new password, not the old one
  • Double-check that your password meets all the requirements listed above
  • If the problem persists, contact your makerspace administrator
